Memory foam has a reputation for retaining heat so this soft material is often used to create a cooler sleeping surface that minimizes disruptions throughout the night. Gel pillows can be individual layers of soft jelly like material infused memory foam or one single top layer on one or both sides underneath the cover. Came well packaged and vacuum sealed. There was a faint odor from off gassing of the foam but it didn t last long.

It did take 2 to 3 days to get used to but i love it now. Fluffed up nicely when taken out. No weird smell or anything like some pillows can have i know that bothers some people so wanted to mention it and super comfy. I was having neck and shoulder pain from my other pillow and the first night i slept with this pillow i awoke with no pain.
